Kichijoji
Kichijoji, Musashino city, Tokyo
Forniche's Recommendations
Kichijoji is always at the top of the list when surveyed on the ranking of cities where Japanese people want to live. Its charm is its two large shopping streets, Sun Road and Daiya-gai. There are so many stores that you can find anything you need. Fashionable cafes. Deep izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) representing Harmonica Yokocho. The rich nature of Inokashira Park. A quiet residential area just outside the center. Various attractions are concentrated in a relatively small area. Kichijoji, with its many faces, is a perfect place for a stroll! Please visit various stores, eat delicious food, and relax in the parks.
Point of capture
It is located across the street from the north exit of Kichijoji Station, a short distance to the left! There are about 100 stores in the narrow alley, and you will find a variety of restaurants from izakaya (Japanese style pub) to authentic French cuisine! Many stores are closed during the daytime, so it is recommended to go at night!
Go straight out the south exit of Kichijoji Station and you will see a building with the sign “OIOI. Walk down the street next to it and you will reach the entrance to the park. (You should be able to tell because there are many people walking toward the park!) The park is rich in nature and has a large pond where you can enjoy swan-shaped boats. There are also many benches, so you can buy food somewhere and eat it in the park! There is also a zoo in the park, so I recommend stopping by.
You can walk from Kichijoji. Walk straight south from the intersection on the west side of the station and it will take about 15 minutes. Reservations are required, so please make a reservation through the official website!
